Located in the scenic rural community of Balfour inside the Balfour Covenant Church, Balfour Community Preschool offers a rich, nature-infused program guided by Christian principles. Children thrive in this nurturing, play-based setting where outdoor adventures are central to the day. From ferry landing walks along Kootenay Lake to gardening, forest play, and visits with local farm animals, each experience helps children connect with the land, their community, and each other. The preschool supports early childhood development while preparing children for a smooth and confident transition into kindergarten.

The following documents and fees are required with your enrollment:

Copy of Birth Certificate
Copy of Child's BC Health Card (front and back)
Copy of Child's Immunization Records
A recent photo of your child.
$100 Activity/School Supplies Fee (will be billed on your first month's invoice).
A $25 non-refundable enrollment fee is required when submitting the registration form to ensure your preschool space is held.

If there are any files that you would like to submit with this online application, you will be able to upload these files during the application process.

Our accounting department will send you an FAQ page outlining best practices in applying for the Affordable Child Care Benefit. Please note, it is the sole responsibility of the family to complete this application. Funds will not be applied until the application is complete.

Please be prepared to make the initial monthly payment fee and the one time activity/school supplies fee of $100.

A non-refundable $25 enrollment fee is due now to ensure your space is held.
