Megan is a certified Early Childhood Educator with special needs training. She graduated at the top of her class from Okanagan College in 2010. Since graduating Megan has continued to expand in the realm of child development and family structures. Megan has a passion for holistic health and movement which she enjoys sharing with her students and families. She has a deep passion for the natural world and promotes the beauty of learning outdoors as much as possible.

Meet Miss, Lesley

Lesley is an Early Childhood Educator Assistant in Nelson

As a mother to 4, and ‘Nana’ to 2, Lesley has been working with young children and their parents for 35+ years. From running daycares in tree-planting camps, to providing parent education groups in remote communities, working with youngsters and their families has been a lifelong devotion and passion. She brings her love of music, community, and nature to the classroom. Lesley believes it is an honor, privilege and sacred duty to care for young children, and works to create a classroom culture of safety, fun, respect and inspiration. She is excited to be part of the Kootenay Preschools team in our beautiful new location.

Meet Miss, Monica

Monica is an Early Childhood Educator in Nelson

Monica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education, from a university in the Philippines in 2014. She then gained extensive experience working as a preschool teacher and advisor in Singapore, where she honed her skills and deepened her passion for early childhood education. Upon moving to Canada with her family, Monica continued her career by enrolling in a course to align her degree with the Canadian curriculum. Now eagerly awaiting her certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Monica is excited to bring her experience and dedication, where she hopes to positively impact the lives of young children.

Meet Miss, Meledy

Meledy is an Early Childhood Educator in Nelson and Balfour

Meledy is a certified Early Childhood Educator. She worked in a preschool for the past 9 years in Smithers before moving to Nelson in March 2024. Prior to that, Meledy ran an in-home daycare where her passion for teaching and learning side by side with children (other than her own) was discovered! Meledy enjoys reading, singing, storytelling, animals and the outdoors! Meledy believes in helping children to discover and achieve their full potential and strive for greatness.
